Noud 6e Nat. Barcelona Jelle Jellema

Noud – A Legend Finds His Legacy at DuijvesteinHattem

On Sunday, July 11th, 2021, at 6:45 AM, the skies above Barcelona opened to one of the greatest challenges in pigeon racing. Among 4,838 brave competitors, it was Noud — racing under the banner of the master himself, Jelle Jellema — who soared into history.

After covering an unforgiving 1,241 kilometers, Noud arrived in Nijverdal at 10:07 AM, clocking an astonishing 982 meters per minute. His performance earned him 6th National, reaffirming Jellema’s genius and placing Noud firmly among the greats of long-distance racing.

But this was not Noud’s first moment of glory. In the 2020 edition of Barcelona, he had already proven his class, securing the 24th National prize — a rare back-to-back performance that only the most exceptional pigeons can deliver.

Yet Noud is more than just results. He is a symbol of resilience, balance, and quiet power — the kind that places a pigeon far out on the right side of the bell curve. A true outlier. An original.

Sadly, during a training flight following his 2021 success, Noud was lost — a quiet exit for a champion who had already done more than enough to earn his place in the history books.

Today, DuijvesteinHattem is proud to write the next chapter of his story. In the heart of their breeding loft, Noud now lives on — not in flight, but in blood. His genes form the foundation of a new generation. Champions in the making, shaped by the legacy of one truly legendary bird. This all thanx to Hans Versteegde the fancier who made this all possible for DuijvesteinHattem.
